External grinding may refers to all outside diameter grinding and the requirements of it vary from fast removal to mirror finish. Grinding with the surface called surface grinding and it has a larger contact area than external grinding. Therefore softer grade wheels may be more suitable to be used, especially the diameter of wheel is larger. Choose the right wheels according to the requirements of workpieces.
