Polycrystalline diamond (micro powder) is made of graphite with a unique directional blasting method. The shock wave of directional blasting of high explosive speed accelerates the flying speed of metal flyer and impacts the graphite flake, resulting in the transformation of graphite into polycrystalline diamond. Characteristics of polycrystalline diamond

Polycrystalline diamond tools can process at a higher speed, and the cutting speed is an important factor affecting the machining quality. With the premise of high-speed cutting, it can improve the machining efficiency of cutting tools, but due to the high hardness and brittleness of polycrystalline diamond tools, under the condition of high-speed rotation, the increase of cutting temperature and cutting force, the instantaneous collision between the tool and the cutting sample will cause brittle fracture of the tool tip, so the polycrystalline diamond tools need to be resharpened. Therefore, when machining different workpiece materials, the cutting speed of polycrystalline diamond tools should also be different.
